Finnish Spitz are a relativly healthy breed, most
breeders will tell you they have not had many problems
and this is true.
They do however have some health problems to be
aware of .
The main problem found in many lines is liver /kidney
problems. The actual problem varies, some have
small livers or kidneys. Some may get kidney cancer.
Some puppies have been born with liver shunts.
Some older dogs 7-12 yrs develop liver functioning
problems.
The next to be concerned with would be heart murmurs.
Mostly this would be found before the new owner would
take ownership at the health check before shipping or
sooner if the breeder is up on things.
Both of these health problems are rare and most
likely will not affect your puppy but are just concerns
of the breed.

It is one way of thinking that possibly limiting the
amount  and types of vaccinations given to the
Finnish Spitz may help in curtailing problems with
the liver/kidneys.
I will add a good link for a good vaccination protocol
down below.
Also, it is thought that feeding a raw or all natural
diet is helpful to the Finnish Spitz too.
I feed  Nature's Receipe Venison and Rice and Nature's receipe Puppy, it a very good food that is easy for Finnish Spitz to digest and not expensive. Also Solid Gold Wolf King and Wolf Cub are a good brand.
For older dogs get Solid Gold Hollistic which
has a lower protein content.
Also, I do not give any heartworm meds as where I
live it is not needed. This something you should ask
your vet.  for your area.
