Breed
Character
A little about Breed Character
and temperament, answers to
your questions.
The Finnish Spitz is a great camping, hiking dog. They can
wear a backpack too!
But, they must always be on a
leash.
Although they are not a hyper type of dog and do not require
a lot of exercise, they do well
with a walk a few times a week.
They are trainable but,
they do a need a positive
trainer only. Treats and toys
work great. They do get
bored eaisly with repetition
and will let you know.
So if you like a challenge
then this is a breed for you.
They do get along well with other breeds
and cats if introduced early.
They love children and are always intrested in
family projects.
They are pretty patient and tollerable of
our whims!
They are very playful and always
entertaining, and of course they
never want to be left out of getting
to open a gift!
Be prepared for some play barking
and lots of talking!
Some of them actually sound as if to say
words, like Hello, I know and roo rooo.
Be prepared for people to stop you on
the street and ask you if you have a fox!

So over all they are
quite charming but,
always remember this is a hunting farm dog in Finland and will show that attitude from time to time by digging and barking.
Training and age will help with that. As they do like to lay on the couch too!
